Product Description
The Name: "Ban Zhu Ti Liang"
"Ban Zhu" refers to Spotted Bamboo (also known as Mottled Bamboo), a plant famous in Chinese botany and folklore for its unique purple-brown spots. "Ti Liang" refers to the overhead handle style. This teapot captures the elegance of bamboo in clay form.
Design & Craftsmanship
This exquisite 100ml teapot is crafted from rare Original Ore White Duanni, giving it a soft, creamy beige tone. The design is a tribute to nature: the overhead handle and spout are sculpted to resemble realistic bamboo stems, complete with segmented nodes. The body features artistically applied spots that mimic the natural markings of Banzhu bamboo. The high arch of the handle adds a sense of space and elegance, while the wide body ensures tea leaves have ample room to expand.
Cultural Meaning & Recommendation
In Eastern culture, bamboo symbolizes resilience, integrity, and modesty (due to its hollow interior). The "Ban Zhu" specifically is associated with legends of devotion. This teapot is perfect for the "Literati" aesthetic—scholarly and refined. Its small capacity makes it an excellent choice for Gongfu brewing, particularly for light-roasted Oolongs, Green tea, or White tea, which pair beautifully with the breathable White Duanni clay.
