Product Description
The name "Mei Yin Qin Quan":
"Qin Quan" refers to the steelyard used in the Qin Dynasty, a shape that has become a classic teapot form symbolizing integrity, authority, and balance. "Mei Yin" translates to "Hidden Plum," suggesting that true beauty and resilience—symbolized by the plum blossom—are often subtle and understated. This teapot captures the essence of the inscription on its body, "風進幽香出" (Wind enters, and the subtle fragrance emerges), implying that true quality reveals itself gently, like a scent carried on the breeze.
Design & Craftsmanship
Visually, this teapot is a masterpiece of "literati" style aesthetics. The body retains the sturdy, towering presence of the traditional Qin weight, providing a sense of grounding and stability. However, this heaviness is beautifully offset by the intricate carving of plum branches and blossoms that seem to grow naturally from the clay. The handle and spout are crafted to resemble gnarled plum branches, adding a rustic, organic texture that contrasts with the smooth "Original Ore Zini" (purple clay). The craftsmanship deftly balances the rigid authority of the weight with the fluid elegance of the floral motifs.
Recommendation
With a petite capacity of 97ml, this teapot is precision-engineered for the serious tea connoisseur who prefers the Gongfu style of brewing. The "Original Ore Zini" is highly breathable and known for softening the water, making it a versatile choice for a wide range of teas. The small volume allows for controlling the concentration of the liquor, perfect for solo tasting sessions or intimate sharing.
