Product Story & Description

The Name: "Xiang Yun" (Auspicious Clouds)

In traditional Chinese aesthetics, clouds are not merely weather phenomena; they are the connection between humanity and the heavens. "Xiang Yun" refers specifically to "auspicious clouds" that bring good fortune and blessings. The swirling cloud patterns depicted on this teapot symbolize the "Cloud of Good Luck," representing a wish for happiness, prosperity, and rising to new heights in life—flowing as freely and gracefully as drifting clouds.

Design & Craftsmanship

This 120ml teapot features a unique, sturdy geometric body with a trapezoidal shape that sits firmly on any tea table. The highlight of the design is the exquisite relief carving of the cloud patterns on the body, which adds a tactile, three-dimensional texture to the touch.

Crafted from Huang Jiangpo (Yellow Jiangpo) clay, a rare paragenetic ore found in the Huanglong Mountain mines, this material is celebrated for its rich minerality and excellent air permeability. The clay presents a warm, orange-yellow hue with a distinct "sandy" texture that is pleasing to hold. This clay type is particularly forgiving and excellent for rounding out the sharp notes of Oolong and Puerh teas.

Recommendation

With a capacity of 120ml, this pot is the "Golden Size" for a personal Gongfu tea session or for sharing with one intimate friend. It is highly recommended for tea lovers who appreciate texture in their clay and deep cultural symbolism in their teaware.
