Product Story & Description
The Name: "Liu Shi Ji Xiang" (Six Auspicious Persimmons)
In Chinese culture, the persimmon (Shi) is a powerful symbol because it shares the same pronunciation as the word for "affair" or "matter" (Shi). Therefore, persimmons symbolize the idiom Shi Shi Ru Yi—"Everything goes according to your wishes." The number six represents smoothness and flow. Together, this teapot signifies a blessing for a life where all endeavors go smoothly and successfully.
Design & Craftsmanship
This compact 94ml teapot serves as a masterful example of naturalistic aesthetic. The body mimics the shape of a fruit, while the spout, handle, and lid knob are sculpted to resemble gnarled tree branches, providing a rustic, tactile grip. The clay features a unique "Fen Jiang" technique, using a Duanni base coated in a rich vermilion Zhuni slip, giving it a warm, reddish hue with a unique texture. The body is hand-painted with six distinct persimmons, adding a touch of playful elegance to the serious craftsmanship.
