Product Story & Description
The Name: "Qin Quan" (Qin Weight)
"Qin Quan" is inspired by the standard weights used during the Qin Dynasty after Emperor Qin Shi Huang unified China's weights and measures. In Chinese culture, the "Quan" (weight) represents authority, fairness, integrity, and balance. Having a Qin Quan teapot signifies a grounded, balanced life and a sense of quiet strength.
Design & Craftsmanship
This elegant 130ml teapot showcases a minimalist and historical aesthetic. Its tall, bell-like body perfectly mimics the shape of the ancient bronze weights. It features a seamless, flowing profile with a distinctive bridge-shaped lid knob, a short but powerful spout for a crisp pour, and an ergonomic ear-shaped handle.
Zhu Ni (along with the broader Hong Ni family) is known for its delicate texture and striking appearance. After firing, it features a beautiful color that ranges from bright orange to deep red. When showered with hot water, the clay beautifully comes alive, quickly flushing to a vibrant, bright red that sometimes exhibits a subtle, wandering purple glow.
Zhu Ni is characterized by its high density and low porosity. Because of this dense structure, the clay does not absorb the tea's fragrance. Instead, it acts to lock in and retain the delicate aromas of the tea leaves.
Recommended For
Due to its exceptional ability to preserve fragrance, Zhu Ni is perfectly suited for highly aromatic teas. The article highly recommends pairing Zhu Ni teapots with: Light Oolongs (such as Tieguanyin and Dancong).
Because Zhuni clay has excellent heat retention and a tight structure, this teapot is highly recommended for. It is perfect for tea lovers who appreciate minimalist, historically inspired designs and are looking for a reliable, everyday brewing vessel.
