Design & Craftsmanship
The plump, round body is perfectly proportioned for a comfortable grip, while the lid features a thoughtfully sculpted stem-like knob surrounded by delicate petal contours. The rustic, minimalist shape is beautifully contrasted by a vibrant, hand-painted dark floral motif on the body, adding a striking touch of artistic elegance.
White Duanni (Bai Duanni) is a rare Yixing Zisha clay prized for its elegant ivory, off-white, or cool pale-gray appearance. This distinctive coloration stems from the raw ore's exceptionally low iron and high aluminum content. When fired at high temperatures (over 1180°C) in an oxidizing atmosphere, trace amounts of residual iron aggregate to create beautiful, naturally occurring speckles across its light, unglazed surface.
