Product Story & Description

The Name: "Xiang Yun Zhu Jie"

"Xiang Yun" means "auspicious clouds," the curling ruyi clouds that in Chinese art drift around immortals and carry blessings from heaven. "Zhu Jie" means "bamboo joints." Because bamboo grows joint by joint, it stands for steady progress, and its name sounds like the phrase "rising step by step." Together, the name wishes the owner good fortune from above and steady growth in life.

Design & Craftsmanship

The body is a broad cylinder that narrows at the waist and steps out again at the foot, giving it a poised, architectural look. The lid is crowned with a curling ruyi-cloud knob, while the spout and handle are both modeled as bamboo stalks with raised joints. One side is incised with a spray of bamboo, accompanied by the maker's inscription and seal.

The Clay: Zini

Crafted from premium Zini (Purple Clay)—the most classic and revered of all authentic Yixing clays—this teapot features a rich, earthy purplish-brown hue. Renowned for its excellent breathability and unique dual-porosity structure, Zini is exceptionally versatile, gently rounding out astringency and elevating the complex flavors of roasted oolongs, pu-erh, and black teas. With regular use, the naturally textured surface will gradually absorb the tea's essential oils, developing a deep, mellow, and beautifully warm patina over time.
